Missing Infant from Breaux Bridge – Safely Located

Update:   This morning St. Martin Sheriff’s Office advised that Jordan Lawrence has been located safely in Vidor, TX Sunday night.  The suspect, Micah Lewis, has been arrested in Vidor, TX on a warrant for the kidnapping charge.  Please refer any inquiries regarding the case to the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office at 337-394-3071 or 337-394-2825.  At approximately 8:00 PM on the evening of Saturday, September 27, 2008, two-week old Jordan Lawrence (white male with blue eyes and blonde hair) was taken by Micaha Leon Lewis from a Wendy’s (restaurant) in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.  Micaha Lewis, the ex-boyfriend of the infant’s mother, believes he is the child’s father although he has not been legally-named as such. Lewis currently resides in Vidor, TX and was last seen driving a late-model blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo with dark tinted windows and Texas license plates.  Micaha Lewis is a twenty-three (23) year old, 5’8” white male with brown hair and blue eyes.   He was last seen wearing a black muscle shirt, blue-jean shorts and a black “Dallas” baseball cap. They were believed to be in the Oakdale area earlier this evening, en route to either Alexandria, LA or an unknown location in Texas.  They may be in the company of an unidentified female (Lewis’ current girlfriend). Based upon investigators’ conversations with the suspect/suspect’s current girlfriend, there is no reason to believe Lewis will harm or injure the child. Anyone having information regarding the whereabouts of the infant or Micah Lewis is asked to contact the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-394-3071 or 337-394-2825.            For more information contact: Sgt. The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department reported five arrests over the last 24 hours:

Thomas Daniel Edwards, white male, 29, was arrested on charges of bench warrant by Anacoco Police Department.  He remains in jail.

Melvin Howard, black male, 52, was arrested on charges of parole violation by probation and parole.  He remains in jail.

Howard A. Burnett, whtie male, 38, was arrested on charges of two bench warrants by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department.  He remains in jail.

Christopher M. Slayden, white male, 26, was arrested on charges of pornography involving juveniles by Rosepine Police Department.  He remains in jail.

Sam Anderson, black male, 53, was arrested on charges of remaining after being forbidden, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace (drunk) by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department.  He remains in jail.

The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department reported one arrest over the last 24 hours:

Johnny Eugene Turner, black male, 20, was arrested on charges of simple battery and resisting and officer by Pleasant Hill Police Department.  He remains in jail.

There are currently 141 inmates being housed by the Sabine Parish Detention Center.

Missing Infant from Breaux Bridge

At approximately 8:00 PM on the evening of Saturday, September 27, 2008, two-week old Jordan Lawrence (white male with blue eyes and blonde hair) was taken by Micaha Leon Lewis from a Wendy’s (restaurant) in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department reported fifteen arrests over the last 72 hours:

Austin Stahl, white male, 21, was arrested on charges of DWI 1st and speeding by Louisiana State Police. He remains in jail.

Crystal Beasly, white female, 28, was arrested on charges of possession of schedule III and no license plate by Rosepine Police Department. She remains in jail.

Pedro Cordoun, other male, 22, was arrested on charges of no insurance, no driver’s license, swtiched plates, and driving without lawful presense by Louisiana State Police. He remains in jail.

Donnie Evans, black male, 28, was arrested on charges of 2 warrant ( possession of marijuana) by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. He bonded.

Lealand Shad Singletary, white male, 23, was arrested on charges of taking alligator out of season, possession of illegaly taken deer, and taking alliagator without license by Louisiana Department of Wildlife. He bonded.

Keith Polk, black male, 41, was arrested on charges of warrant (simple kidnapping) by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. He bonded.

Douglas Coty Sneed, white male, 24, was arrested on charges of intentional littering, hunting deer illegal hours, hunt deer from public raod, possession of illegally taken deer (3 counts) by Louisiana Department Wildlife and Fisheries. He remains in jail.

Domingo Acosta, hispanic male, 45, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent, possession of cocain over 400gram, possession of drug paraphenlia, illegal carrying of weapons by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department and Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries. He remains in jail.

Chrisela Acosta, hispanic female, 33, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine over 400 grams, possession of marijuana with intent, possession of drug paraphenlia, and illegal carrying of weapons by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department and Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. She remains in jail.

James Paul Wells, white male, was arrested on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and contributing to the deliquency of a juvenile by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department and Anacoco Police Department. He remains in jail.

Joshua Keatts, white male, 25, was arrested on charges of criminal damage to prooperty and criminal trespassing by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. He remains in jail.

The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department reported five arrests over the last 72 hours:

Clara J. Rivers, white female, 53, was arrested on charges of theft over $500 by Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department.  She bonded.

Camille Dowden, white male, 39, was arrested on charges of 2 counts simple assault under the family violence act, and unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling by Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department.  She remains in jail.

Shannon Krout, black male, 30, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault under the family violence act by Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department.  He remains in jail.

Tasley G. Lindsey, black male, 30, was arrested on charges of second degree aggravated battery and disturbing the peace by intoxication by Many PoliceDepartment.  He remains in jail.

Paul E. Smith, black male, 37, was arrested on charges of parole violation by Many Police Department.  He remains in jail.

There are currently 140 inmates being housed by the Sabine Parish Detention Center.
