Sabine Parish Arrest Report 11/25/09

November 25, 2009

The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department reported four arrests in the past 24 hours:

Brenda Jean Holden, black female, 47, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated first offense, headlight required, by Many Police Dept. She bonded

James Floyd, white male, 61, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated first offense, failure to signal by Many Police Dept. He bonded.

Thomas Owen Norvell, white male, 26, was arrested on charges of Desoto Parish Warrant by Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department. He is being held for Desoto Parish.

Jamal Reshvn, Holland, black male, 23, was arrested on charges of reckless by flight, aggravated flight, max speed limit, reckless operation, probation hold, by Fisher Police Department. He remains in jail.

The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department is currently housing 147 inmates.

Christopher R. Williams, black male, was arrested on charges of warrant and possession of drug paraphanalia by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. He bonded.

Kimberly A. Sloan, white female, 41, was arrested on charges of bench warrant by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. She remains in jail.

Jarred Wayne Ross, white male, 29, was arrested on charges of bench warrant by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. He remains in jail.

Justin Land, white male, 24, was arrested on charges of unauthorized entry, aggravated assault, disturbing the peace, agg 2nd degree battery, agg crminal damage by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department. He remains in jail.

Vernon Parish December Events

BALLET MAGNIFICAT, a Christmas program, sponsored by the Vernon Arts Council will perform at the Leesville High School Auditorium beginning at 7pm, Dec. 3rd.Tickets will be $15.00 for adults and $7.00 for students. For more information call 337-397-2127.

Sabine County Chamber of Commerce Update

November 24, 2009


The Chamber will be closed November 26th and 27th for Thanksgiving.

 

November 23rd – December 6th – Alco Food Drive.  Alco will match all can good donations for the United Christian Services.

 

December 5th is the Lions Club Christmas parade at 4:30pm with the lighting of the square. Santa Claus will be there to give away 2 children’s bikes and 2 children’s fishing poles donated by Alco, Helping Hands and the Chamber of Commerce.

 

December 8th-  Chamber of Commerce Meeting at the Chamber office.  Mark your calendar to attend and bring your favorite snack to share.  We will be voting on the Board of Directors for 2010.

Trammell gets 58 years for attempted murder

In July, a jury convicted Trammell of shooting Shreveport police officer John Madjerick in the face in January 2008. Madjerick survived the gun shot, which went through his mouth and neck, and is back on patrol for the Shreveport Police Department. Lucien Trammell just received a 58-year prison sentence for attempted first-degree murder.That is tacked on to 10 years he already must serve for a federal weapons charge, so he will spend 68 years at hard labor as sentenced.
